as long as its a 4 ohm sub, i would think u are ok, any amp worth their salt can do a 4 ohm mono load, just do your best to make sure the amp has plenty of air flowin over it to keep it cool, biggest thing with lower end brands like that is heat, but with the 87 supra, the amp bein in the hatch u should be ok, long as u dont have it pressed against your seat or somethin,
i would think that if anything a fuse would pop before the amp turned into a paper weight
least thats what happens with my PPI amp (apparently they only go into proetct mode so many times before they say uncle and pop fuses lol.... no moer of that)
