Check out eclipse a little more. My sister just found a lightly used cd3000 for under $100 shipped on ebay, and that has mp3, wma, 3 sets of preouts that are 5volt. Eclipse sound quality is unprecedented, and they [almost] never skip. My cd8053 has 16volt balanced outputs and will play cd's so scratched even my computer won't play them. My friend bought one of my old eclipse decks, got into a head-on collision and the cd never skipped. Another plus to eclipse is that they have IMO the best anti-theft available. You can make any custom CD you want, choose that for the security disk and once power is d/c the unit is inoperable unless the cd is inserted within the first 5 tries, if you don't get it you can enter a somewhat hidden button combination to give you another 5 tries - after that it has to be sent to eclipse to get repaired and they send it back to the original owner. It also has GPS tracking on a stolen unit, and the serial number is stored electronically so it can never be ground off. If you buy the unit new from a dealer they have a 1 year replacement on any stolen units that aren't recovered, just fill out a form within the first year and they will get you a new deck just like that.
