well if you can find the T/S parameters, you can plug it into winisd or similar and start there. If it's sealed, I tried it years ago, and found that you need a big box to make most 6x9's sound as good as in the car. I assume that the engineers designed them knowing that they will go into the rear deck and use the large trunk as their enclosure (infinite baffle), so that's why they work best with a large box. Anyway, the way I went about testing them was to build a large box(I think it was 4 cubes), and then tried reducing the volume by placing cut 2x4's inside until I liked the sound. Problem was the sound did not get better. That's when I realized that they need a very large enclosure, which is real easy in a big car...the trunk. Hmmm Maybe those engineers know something afterall!!
