| ok my system consists of two amps: orion 1200D (1200watts @ 1ohm) and an MB quart ra2400 (200watts x2 @4ohms) i have 1/0 guage wiring with a fused 1/0 to 4ga distro block in the back (150amps per fuse) with one run of 4 ga to each amp
i have upgraded the battery ground to chassis but didnt have enough wire for alt neg to chasis and alt positive to battery. i can turn the volume up to 28 on my hu without the front speakers clipping when i have the sub turned off, but as soon as i turn the sub on and bring it up to 28 the front speakers clip, i figure this is a problem with not enough current getting to the 2 channel amp for the front speakers because the orion is hoggin it all. is there any truth to my theory? and if so, how could it be fixed?
