Thanks for the replies... my X's can get loud, but I have to turn my deck up pretty high - to about 25 (max volume is 33 I think) - to get them there. It seems not much happens up to about 20, and then from there the volume increases quite a bit. Something just doesn't seem right.

I called Soundsaround and although they didn't admit to anything, they did say to come in and they'd solve any issues I have with the amp and sub combo. I think I'll look at trying to get the 2 ohm and maybe an amp upgrade.
