| When making something like the F#1 product, a manufacturer will make decisions regarding parts and processes with no regard to how much extra that part or process costs. They are focussed on performance and just add the cost to the bottom line. This way you get a high performance product but have to pay the high performance price too.
The sticky wicket comes in when one tries to place 'value' against the extra price.
