Just put them in your doors and do a good job with sound deadening.
Neither the Rs or the Xs are good enough, IMO to go building custom door panels and enclosures.

The 6.5" Xs get real loud, will handle a TON of power and sound very good while doing it.
The 6.5" Rs are the same, except for not sounding very good.
