Hey there,

I'm running 4 JL Audio TR570-CXi speakers hooked up to an Infinity 7541a Amplifier. Recently when a low tone/bass is passed through the speakers i hear a crack, now i'm pretty sure my speakers are blown, but the high tones coming out of the speakers still sound great. I have a few questions:

1) My deck has a HPF i can set ranging from 80-200 Hz, my amp also has a HPF on it ranging from 32-320 Hz. Now i'm wondering is their a certain way i should be setting up my system, so that it is only running off of one HPF, or should i run it off both? I have an option on my deck to bypass the HPF thus i could simply run it off my amp's HPF. But if i was to leave it on a lower frequency to get some bass out of my speakers, what is the lowest frequency i should run them?

2) My second question is in regard to wiring, for subs i am running 2 10" JL Audio 10W3v3-8 subwoofers connected to an Alpine MRD-M1005 Amplifier. So in total i have 4 speakers, 2 subs and 2 amps in my trunk. Currently i am using an 8$ wire set from princess auto that is about as thick as a pen. I know this wiring is shit compared to what i need to be running. I'm going to buy some new wires this weekend but i have no idea what guage i should be getting and i don't know where to look. What is the best kind of wires, and what guage wires should i be running? This includes from the battery to the fuse block, from the fuse block to the splitter and from the splitter to each amplifier. Also, what size fuse should i install?

Thank you!
