You can use the high pass on the amp and have it set no lower than around 80-120HZ. That crackle you hear is your driver not being able to produce low frequencies. As for your amp you can just get some 4 gauge wire for the power and ground, as well as a fused distribution block. There are also complete two amp wiring kits out there.
