I've played Xvid AVI videos with AC3 audio tracks on this unit as well.

The screen font is extremely small (so get an external clock) and the brightness isn't the greatest, so don't expect to be able to see it during the day. On the up side, you can connect this unit to an external LCD using the composite output.

The random play function is a little TOO random or has some sort of bug in it, and doesn't keep track of which songs you've already heard, so it ends up back at songs you might have already skipped by.
