I completely understand, being a 40 year old that needs trunk space as well. The w6 should give you plenty of bass if powered to it's potential. For comparison, I have 2-alpine type r 12's in .85 cubes each, sealed, and with 500 watts each, they get very loud. Not Spl competition loud, but loud enough to hear from down the block if I choose, and enough to make the mirrors useless. I expect that the w6 with 400-500 watts will be more than enough for music.
