Ok, so here's the start. I soaked my alarm remote last night. After coming back from the cabin this morning, I open the car, and the alarm goes off. Since the remote is soaked and use-less, I try taking a fuse out on the wire going into the alarm box, thinking it might just help. The alarm keeps going, so I pop it back in, and then pop the hood and take the ground wire off the siren to stop it. I drive the 5 or so minute trip home and try to deal with it then. So, I go in the house and take apart the remote to let it dry. I have a spare as well, but I let the other one have a chance. After letting it dry, I put it back together, the light blinks when I hit the button, so all seems well. I go out, re-attach the sirens ground wire, and try to test the alarm. Hit the button, and nothing. No arming of the alarm, siren chrip, door locks...nothing. So, I go to the alarm box. After taking out the main pin connector or harness., I start taking the other connections out (One 3-Pin to tie in the door locks, a 2 pin for the siren, and a 4 pin for the LED and Shock Sensor) With the main harness out, touching the 3 pin on it's connection trips the locks, locking and un-locking them. When the main harness is in, this does not happen. The shock sensor still works, as when I tap it, the led lights up, as normal. Any ideas anyone? I thought I somehow fried it, but with those door-locks tripping, it leads me to believe it's a gremlin of sorts. It is an Astra 100 Series.
