hey all i have a 2007 elantra that i put a autostart remote starter in...
the car has the factory alarm...

i have got the print out from installology and off the auto start web site....

i am trying to connect the factory arm and factory disarm wires. but both print outs say different wires.. i have tested them and they dont test to be what the print out says...

i have the lock and unlock wires done and i tryed to see if the factory alarm arms only with the factory key fob

the system arms either with the stock key fob or the key or using the remote starter.

right now the car will remote start but the stock key fob nore the autostart will lock or unlock the doors .

i have tryed the dark green and yellow/green in the harness coming from the drivers door in the drivers kick panel.

what i am asking is does any one know where the wires are and what colors and if they are (+) or (-)

confirm that the factory key fob works with the engine running when the car is started by the key.(many vehicle's factory remotes are not functional when certain ignition wires are powered up.) The problem with the factory fob not working when the car is running may actually not be a problem at all and just something you overlooked on the vehicle.

confirm that the wires you are using for lock and unlock are infact the proper lock and unlock wires by testing them while triggering the factory doorlock switches from inside the vehicle.
lock may be a green and unlock a yellow in driver's door jamb harness in d.k.p. or they can also be found at the bcm behind a/c controls in a white 20 pin plug.
negative type doorlocks
lock pin#3
unlock pin#11

let me know

FACTORY ALARM DISARM

blue to yellow - dr kick or bcm, wht 20p plug, pin 2

Notes: Meter this wire while turning the key in the driver door key cylinder.

The BCM (Body Control Module) is in the center dash, behind the A/C controls.
