| my alarm (clifford arrow 3) won't disarm. i have 2 keypads that do nothing, one is never used. the same thing happened about 2 weeks ago while i was leaving work. i caught a ride home and back to work the next day and the alarm disabled on the first try and has worked fine for daily use since and now it's acting up again. at first i thought it was the battery on the keypad since it's the same one i've been using since i got the alarm (2001ish), but the never-used one doesn't work either.
help! |

| Try replacing the battery for it, 2001 for a battery even not being used is still kinda old. |

| it was replaced a week ago or so and has been working fine since, but the problem only came up every 10-20 days so we'll see. also, the alarm has some built in low-battery warning beep that i've never heard, so the battery was probably OK. we'll see... |

| i don't know much about the valet mode. i've read about it in my manual but never actually had a need to use it. i talked to the company that installed it and they seemed to indicate that i could disarm by entering the valet code, but it didn't work when i tried it (and yes it was the correct valet code). i open the door, the alarm starts blaring, i enter the valet code... nothing. the installer offered to have a look at the problem, but i now live a 3.5 hour drive from them. |

| I know those little batteries can be funky at times (I work at the source). Sometimes even when I hook em up to a multi-meter, and it says it has a decent charge on it, it still doesn't disarm a alarm because the remote requires to much juice. |
