Mine is set up so that you stop, put it in neutral, hold the brake, pull ebrake then release the foot brake. It should remain running when you pull out the key, then when you get out and close the door it should shut itself off, arm and lock the doors. Then you will be able to autostart it next time.

I bought one last year, but it is still sitting in the box, $230 its yours, shipped, its a 2W8000FM-AS, it was bought for my project but the project is far from done, so i'd like to get rid of it and figure something else out later.

You think they're a pain to install? They are by far my favorite product to install and use. The firstech product is one of the best out there by far.

Oh I love to use them. It's probably mostly a familiarity thing, but there is a crap load of tiny wires on the Compustar stuff.

Second the cake, after installing pretty much everything, I'll take a compustar over anything else. I think that Defro's quote if anything is close, maybe a little low. Make sure that the installer is familiar with this alarm / starter.

For Automatic transmission installs compustar doesn't even touch a Viper 791XV. Now that's a system you can set your watch to, and I find the remotes are built better.

hahaha now that i look at me remote. you are getting the same one i have. i think it's time for a new remote. mine has super glue all over it.
You're not doing it right. There a certain procedure you gotta do. Like in my car (5 speed) I gotta press a button so the sequence starts, take out the key so the car is still running, then just lock it and the car shuts off aotomatically, so then when i want i can just start it up again. If you don't do the sequence, u can't start it back up and defeats the purpose of having a remote starter.
