Ah, the mtx amp is only rated to make 400 watts @ 2ohm @14.4V.
Is it only whe one sub you're running?
Besure too that you have the coils wired correctly.
Kicker uses a dot on one pair of terminals for coil identification.
Other than that I'd need to see it to help.

im running 2 subs

am i supposed to have a wire go from one term to the other?

lol no there not sitting like that.. the mags are in the box and the face are outside..

This is how you should have them hooked up.
The connections at the amplifier should be as marked on the amp.
Remember that the MTX amp is only making 200watts per sub.

Tae extra notice of the dots on two of the terminals per sub.

thats the way there are hooked up..but dont sound right..
i have it bridged on the boxed to the amp..

while the amp was running, i took the other subs i had out..
cud that damage it.. or no?

Are you sure you have them wired in phase? If they aren't, you wont get any bass or very little.
Double check all the connections again.

If everything is right, I'm going to suggest finding a pro, or someone on the board close to you to help you out.
Usually a fresh pair of eye works wonders.

UPDATE!!!

i was playing around and blew my deck..
attached another deck i had laying around, and bingo bango.. she worked!
which amp is better tho? this mtx or sony xplode ?

The amp that puts out the most power is the best if I had to choose between the two.. if I had to where a hat I'd put on the MTX
