Well I hooked up my stereo back in the car for the holidays and was working great, but bout an hour after I hooked it up my amp that runs my fronts and rears just shut off, I checked it out and it seems to have blown a fuse, so I went to replace the fuse and ...POP... there goes another, so now im starting to think, so I pull the amp right out of the car and disconnect everything, and started over, hooking up the ground first then the power then the remote, then I go to put another fuse in the amp and POP again before I can even get it in all the way????? so I disconnect the remote so only the ground and power wire are hooked up and try it again POP WTF!!!! what is wrong here? there are only the ground and power wires hooked up, the ground and power are both running into a distro block that is also running my sub amp and it is working fine, but my highs amp has the flu or something any suggestions? I am really baffeled

Have you got an ohm meter? measure to find out if the power and ground terminals are shorted? that would blow the fuse even before you turn it on.
If it's a newer amp, most of them have gone to a solid state (silicon) relay for remote turm on.
Did it smoke? Does it smell like something fried?

Sounds like the amp has a dead short to blow a fuse like that.
pull the amp out, have it bench tested on it's own.
