Impedance Question

Hello everyone,

I've got a question and I'm hoping I can get some help.
The scenario is as follows.

I've got two pairs of 15" subs (a total of 4 drivers)

First pair is DVC 4ohm
Second pair is DVC 2ohm

They are the same brand and same size woofer just different coil configuration.

Just wanted to get some ideas form some people on what my wiring options are (final impedance once all is said and done)

If anyone can provide a breakdown on how they come up with the result it would be greatly appreciated.

I figure there are probably a few outcomes.

Thank you in advance

how many amps do u have??
with two u could wire the 2 ohm pair in parallel to one amp and the 4 ohm pair to the other..
i'm stiill a newb at this so i dunno wut impedance is exactly.. lol

I dont beleive the number of amps will make a difference however to answer your question it will be one.

Like I said I'm looking to find out the END impedance result of all 4 subs wired together

Why is that?
All four woofers are going to be wired to a single amplifier in the end.
So why wouldnt all four woofers get the same amount of power?
Can you explain..

As well is anyone able to answer my question regarding the end impedance?

thanks

ok, here we go with math again, this is all in old threads.

DVC 2 - your choices are 4 or 1 ohm each.
DVC 4 - your choices are 8 or 2 ohm each.

so, if you wire the pair of DVC 2 to 1 ohm each and series them together, you have a 2 ohm load
wire the DVC 4 pair the same and you'll have a 4 ohm load on them.
paralell the 2 and the 4 ohm loads to the amp for a total load of 1.5 ohms.
the DVC 2's will get twice as much power as the 4's.
If they are all in the same box, you'll f-up the subs. if they're in separate boxes, it'll work, but won't sound good.

The only way this can work out good is if you have two difrent amps. one for each pair.
