it is 8v... I do not pay much attention to output as I have enough to max out whichever amp I have in the system. If you are measuring the output voltage I assume the ratings are max V peak to peak unloaded, if loaded the output voltage will be lower. (my most tolerant amp clips its inputs at 6V anyway)

I found out yesterday the noise is primarily on the aux feed as well (I dont think it is a function of the Delphi but I think it is a higher noise floor on the AUX input stage as the noise varies with volume between 65 and 80). And this is in addition to the Delphi power supply noise from my previous post BTW

Frankly it is still a top notch HU, it just isn't an F#1 or P-9... and it is 1/3 the price too. Probably sonically close to the Clarion DRZ9255. The HU tracks much better than my McIntosh. The TA and EQ is very useful and easy to use. The Eclipse is very neutral and the EQ is the best I have used (better than the PPI unit). The DSP is more basic than the Alpine 700 and 900 series and certainly less than the F#1. My mac had a wonderful 'sound' to it very warm yet detailed and layered but it was a sound associated with the HU, the Eclipse though less elegant (I hate that description) is more neutral.

AM reception is better than any I have had in a LONG time (OEM 85 Chevy Celebrity and Dodge Aries is still king)

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.

I would to 100% agree with you on the functionality on all the extras you get with this HU - especially at the price tagged to it!

TA, EQ and 8V were the biggest selling point for me since I was using an EQL, overdrive along with an older Kenwood HU.

The SQ of this is deck is by far the best I've heard in the price range. I've never been a Alpine or Clarion fan but for under a grand with the ipod adapter I was shocked when I first listened to it! I can't afford Nak's, P9's, F1's or McIn's HUs so comparing this HU to them would be a waste of time.

I still can't figure out why there is such a change in NF output when changing sound modes! Either way it makes my commute enjoyable either way!

Cheers
Ju

Are you referring to sound modes output of the deck(HU) or the ipod noise issue?
