Hey guys. Im in the final stages of my setup consiting of two TSW12D4's with my 800a2 running them. Its the 99'ish powerhouse. My question is regarding the pos and negative terminals on the amp. The positve and negative each accept two 4 guage wires, I used two of my 4 awg outputs from distro block with 4awg wire to the two pos terminals on amp, and have the negative (oawg) rigged up to accept my modified ring terminal(cut to create a U-shape, and bent to insert both prongs into the terminal)

My question is regarding the two power wire fuses. The amp requires a 60A fuse as far as I know. Would I run two 30A fuses, one per line ? Or two 60A fuses? I did a test today using two 60A and had one blow (only once turning stereo down) but has been ok since replacement.

When I only had one wire fused at distro, it read only 6.5v right after the fuse as well on the return 2nd wire from the amp. Im not too sure if most people actually use both terminals and fuse each line from distro (making 12v @amp), or somehow just jump 1st to 2nd terminals at amp and run one line w/ fuse.

This has to make sence to someone Ill be on for a while, so let me know what you think! = ] thanks

The extra set of negative and positive terminals is so that you can easily hook up a stiffening capacitor.

Run your 4 AWG power and ground to the one set of negative and positive and the amp will work great. If you want to use a cap, use the other set. Use only one fuse.
