| I have a brand new install of a DEH-P500UB head unit and a CD-BTB100 Bluetooth unit. Every thing works great. FYI for all you out there trying to stream audio from a device like the blackberry to your head unit... DON'T its the worst audio I have ever heard i tried 4 different manufactures and they all sounded the same crappy compressed audio with artifacts.
Anyways not what this post is about. I wanted the ability to use my phone with my stereo as i drive to and from work round trip about 2 hours. night to not have to take the phone out to do stuff. So i hooked everything up and received a call and it works beautifully (if i find the engineer that decided to scroll the number on the screen i want to kill them). problem that i have is when i try to do a Voice call. The blackberry asks questions as i go along "say a command!" Call john Smith, Mobile ...... did you say Call john Smith, Mobile?? i can say yes. Without the voice prompts the voice dial is useless. The voice dial voice is so faint i can barely hear it. i mean really quiet, if the car is running you wouldn't hear it. But it is very faint. I took my car back to the dealer where i got it and asked it i could try snapping in a CD-BTB200 to see if that would help. It was exactly the same thing.
Any one else have this issue? I called Pioneer and they said it does not support it. Now they almost as quickly as i asked the question dismissed it (damn script reader techs) My head unit is a 2008 model and this standard of head set profile for bluetooth has been out for years. any help would be appreciated. could i of broke a wire in the DATcable that would cause this? if so why does normal audio come through perfect while talking on the phone? |
