I have a kicker zx1000.1 and the light on the amp turns green (on) then red (protection) then off, it repeats itself over and over, when the transition occurs between on green and red if you put ur ear on the amp u hear a little clickin noise... this happend after boosting someone elses car... any advice on where to bring this to get fixed or maybe its somthing i can do myself ? and i also noticed theres no fuse on the external side of the amp, could this be the problem if its a blown fuse inside?

thanks alot

That's exactly what my amp was doing, but giving it a gentle tap would bring it back to life sometimes. Had to do with one of the components that was a cheap fix. Where are you located? You can bring it to S&S Electronics for a free estimate. They fixed mine up and it seems to perform much better than it did before!

It's in Scarborough (Ellesmere and Brimley) I'm sure you have some shops in St. Catharines though :P

I don't know what your problem is, but I'll bet it's hard to pronounce.
