Speakers suddenly louder on right side WTF???

hey, i have a Rockford 200.4 running a 6.5 JL VR componet set. Just today it started cutting from regular volume to really loud, and whenever it got loud there was background static coming through the speaker aswell... i havent had a chance to check anything, but i will start tomorrow, any advice from anyone??? whats goin on?

were you still able to use your deck normaly??? could be the deck that whent poop

Its between the deck,amp and passive crossovers,bypass the deck with a walkman on it if it stopped its the deck.If still does it then take off the JL`s and use something you can just set in the car and see(if stops its the crossovers, common on over powered or just plain bad crossovers),If still does it its the amp ready to take a dump.

I would like to know you have me in to it.OK so I have my 2 DD9912`s and 4 american bass 200.1`s shorted out so I`m ready to power it up now? or is there something more I need to do?

yea the deck works fine... and it goes from normal volume to cracking, and i tried wiggling the wires and no good... so im thinking crossover... but ill be ripping everything apart in a few hours and ill tell ya how it goes
