Hey Guys

I need some help here. annnd I know that there is this similar post below..and i have tried that as well...what else?

I have this really annoying "buzzing" noise that travels through my component speakers. It is coming out of every speaker (2 front, 2 rear). The noise only happens when the car is running, and at which time is consistent with the RPM's from my engine. I have a video below to get the point across...and sorry it was dark...but you can here the noise.

Now this is my setup:

Kicker 0awg wire from the battery- through fuse - to the back of the car - distribution block - Wire 1 - subwoofer cable travelling through capactior - to the amp

Wire 2 - straight from the distribution block to the 4 channel MTX amp.

Now, EVERYTHING is grounded properly with the proper gauge wire.

My power wire is on the left side of the car and my RCA's are on the right side of the car.

The 4 channel amp power wire from the distribution block runs into the amp....coming about 1 foot away from the RCA's...but I mean I cannot avoid that...as they are both going into the amp.

Now I have tried a Ground loop isolator, and it seemed to help a LITTLE bit...but not much so I did not buy it.

My wiring behind the deck is done to perfection and the wires are sawtered (wrong spelling..to lazy to look up lol) and wrapped individually.

What can the problem be!!!! I have tried sooo many things..and each time it is still there.



Any other suggestions.

Maybe your power wire is picking up something under the hood. Try having a friend listen inside the car while you move the wire under the hood to see if it helps/goes away.

Problem is still there.

I have heard that I should run a wire from the Head unit to the "battery". Now I am not exactly sure what is meant by this. Do they mean from the head unit(tap a screw into the back) to the negative terminal on the battery?

Also I have heard of running a wire from the Ground on my amp to the back of the head unit as well?

Yes, no?, maybe so? lol

I have heard that bad RCA's in the deck can cause this type of problem. If you can try a different head unit.

I have had the same problem, and I changed the factory ground to a better
one, and upped the guage and it seemed to work a little. If you do teh isolator and the reground solutions, you may be in the clear...

Question: Are you running aftermarket HID's?

try changing the 4 channel amp and see if it goes away, I have seen many MTX amplifiers with un godly ground ground loop noise. You can also try grounding the outer collar of the RCA cables.

The first thing that we like to do at our shop is to upgrade the big 3. The next thing to do is re-check all of your connections, maybe get a second set of eyes.
The next step is to try different rca's, different amp, then finally a different deck. If those don't make it work out, then you need to get your alternator checked.

I was wonder if you had any luck with getting rid of the buzzing. It seems like we have the same problem. When I rev up the engine the buzzing also revs. If you found a solution please let me know. Thanks.
