This forum reaaaally needs a "build log" section.

I am somewhat of a n00b to this forum, but a long time lurker. And I am also on many other forums too, not an avid poster on many, but I do enjoy some. I think this seems to be a pretty good forum, but I think it desperately needs a Build Log section, where people can show off their builds, and share things that way with others. I think this is one major thing lacking from this site.

The "car audio pictures" section at the top, which is tabbed is ok, but threads are much better for discussion and viewing multiple pictures.

I see that this has been mentioned before, but that seems to have been quite some time ago, and nothing was really done about it. If anyone else wants to chime in that'd be great.

There are separate sections for both Enclosure Builds and Install... what else do you want?

lol thats funny, the pole that is! I kinda see this guys theory in a way though, the two sections mentioned dont really get used for build logs as much as building and install tricks etc. generally if you find a buils log its either in general spl or the eastern section of the forum intermingled with event postings and spl related "Q&A" threads.

maybe perhaps if spl build's were forced to be located in the general spl section only and sq builds in the sq forum only it would take away some confusion for new members

the way things are now doesnt really bother me though as im on here every day!!

I've always posted my builds under "Enclosure Design & Construction Help" even though not necessarily looking for help, it seemed to be the best place to post a build log. I too could see the use in having a section just for build logs. The problem I see on other sites is the "For build logs only" seem to get linked to a chat area anyway for problem discussions or comments as they are set so no-one can comment. Then there is two logs for one build, which also seems useless...

it also needs a NEWB section, beyond which no NEWB is able to brows any other forum threads, and therefore, are forced to remain in the NEWB section at all times.

^^^A bit harsh? no?... Having the input from the perspective of a n00b is never a bad thing as far as forum improvements. Making a forum easier to navigate and find what you are looking for will keep you on the forum more, and generally makes a more active member... I'm not new to this forum thing, even though I may be new to this specific board I feel I was just in making a thread in the "feedback and suggestions" forum... what else is this section to be used for if not topics like this? Otherwise why would it exist?

I think you probably understand what I am getting at the most, I don't mean to take away from any specific forum, but a build log tends to be a culmination of enclosure building and the install forum portion. Therefore its sometimes hard for a log to make sense being posted in one or the other section.

Maybe sub sections in SQ and SPL for build logs? would this possibly make more sense. Instead of having one section for logs placed somewhere?

Also, I meant a bit of the joking aspect with my poll... not meant to be the most serious thing, so yeah.
