I think the classes as a whole are pretty fair... maybe just get rid of some gray areas... as for seat removal, wall or no wall, battery, wire ect... | I didn't have any grey area in respect to batteries and wire this year. On the idea about the use of music or test tones in AMA classes. I have had some AMA guys want to baddly play test tones because they really want to be 2 db louder in some casses. I like the fact that you had to play music on a store bought cd but I am not sure that is the feelings of all of those that competed. |

| This whole music for ama classes is a pain in the butt. I had some kid from Camebridge come up to me at finals (me,a newbie of all people) and ask me for a cd to borrow because someone said "Jessica's got cd's". I had an advantage because I was running for adam and had access to a termlab. Either make ama classes "no teams" and issue a standard cd with one song/tone, or figure out something else. Random people I'm sure do not see people like me as a "fair competitor" because I know EXACTLY what song plays the loudest in my car....P.S. On top of that announcing that AMA classes will be playing music on a store bought cd AT the first show is NOT professional; NOR is it posted on your flyer for the past season..but I've yelled at you for this before, this isn't new news to you.....I didn't attend any non C.S.P.L shows so I can't comment or compare how the two events are run.

| those who come to your show for the first time, they may not know how to use the test tones, if music is the media for ama, then any newby can figure out what pounds harder in their car and are not at a disadvantage to those who know test tones, obviously with time they learn more of the sport, enought to become competitive and advance themselves to the expert classes. imo...music keeps ama fair and easy to catch onto

| everyone knows about test tones and if they dont it starts a line of communication between newbs and more experianced people. I ent to a bunch of local shows years ago, if there were 20 people at a show, 2 would play music, 2 would play bass tracks, 5 would play tones and 11 would play a sine sweep. This was before anyone knew what they were doing, they just did sweeps. Personally I think if you want to play music the format should change to be more like IASCAs bass boxing. Also I think that you need to START ON TIME, and not take REALLY LONG BREAKS because for me they just make people sit around and wonder wtf is going on

| oh and I also think if you want people to compete for points you should have a board at each show with all the previous shows results and with the points leaders tally. It makes it more interesting that way and may inspire people to compete more. Of course that is only if CSPL continues...if it was me personally I would focus on one organization, for me that is dbdrag and if you had dbdrag and bass race perhaps the veterans would be more interested...CSPL just dilutes the pool and you can still run all these little side things even if the show is dbdrag only

He revived db drag by incorporating it into his cspl. It was alomost dead in 2006. He added either 10 or 12 dbdrag shows to his cspl schedule in 2007 and the rest my friend is history. |
