| well it's been an on going battle with the lumina. so come next summer she may be out of the run.
i'm looking for a used car. don't matter what brand. it just has to be under 10K. i'm looking for something that i can compete with and stay in street b(hopefully i can compete next year).
i have some ideas of what i want. Honda civic, any tihng by VW, bmw if they have one that cheap, almost any thing with a hatch back or folding down seats, old mustang.
keep in mind that i still have to use this as a every day driver. so i need to have the back seat fully functioning.
i'm just lookin for ideas, please don't harp at me. i'm having enough troubles as is and i don't need to put up with any ones crap.

| Wait until you are ready to sell the Lumina before you start going with what-ifs. If you want to "window shop" try Canadatrader.com [ June 01, 2005, 07:20 AM: Message edited by: Lando ] |

| If you get a Dodge Colt, you can use Rob. V.O.'s old sub boxes |

| Actually,Rob has his old Brown Colt still that I've pondered getting myself....Maybe talk to him....
Another great car for competiing is the CRX(Just look at Josh Campbell's...And Livin' Loud(Kurtis)last year)
Something to keep in mind at your age and income is the price of repairs...Can you do them yourself,or some body you know?Or will you have to take it to a specialty shop where the bills can be huge?
Also look at the availabilty of parts and the cost...The BMW...Maybe later in life dude..$$$$$$$....I priced out a computer for one yesterday...87 320i(I beleive thats the model)...Nearly $1000,none in Canada,so would we have to sent it to the manufact.in Montreal, have it rebuilt, sent back....and it would only take a matter of about 4-6 WEEKS!
Just some things to think about....The Civic idea is a good one I think.. [ June 01, 2005, 08:59 AM: Message edited by: TEAM 8 TRACK RETURNTH ]

| Just about any hatch you can afford will be good.
Civic, Mazda 323, Colt... you get the idea.
I would avoid a CRX because insurance will probably kill you.

| Lumina causing you problems eh? fancy that...
ok ok - If I were you I would look at a Civic but keep it off the backroads or a Mustang. A Bronco/Tahoe would fit the bill too. |
