why do you wanna move out there? I am curius because I was gonna move out there because I love the mountains and Calgary is close.

Anyways, if anybody could answer, it could also help me decide if I want to move out there.

Are there need for IT professionals there or is it really limited?

just can't stand the Ottawa thing anymore. My wife can't find work because she doesn't speak French thus the move West. Calgary is first choice as I know there is some SAP work for me. Edmonton's a possibility - Saskatoon?Regina?Winn?

Vancouver is at the bottom of the list in the West.

Out of those, Calgary is the obvious choice. Regina Saskatoon Winnepeg.....ick. Edmonton.....yikes. Vancouver is nice (don't know about job opps) but the cost of living out there is WAY higher than Calgary. You'll like Calgary. Prices of apartments? not sure.....but I'll look at the bargain finder (buy-sell) today for you.

Goto either www.mls.ca or www.realtor.com and search the Calgary area ..it might be cheaper for you to just buy a house rather than Rent.

Depends on exactly what you are looking for. I lived in Saskatoon for a long time and if you can find a decent paying job (hard to do) then it is a great place to live, nice size and cheap housing. Calgary is nice because it has so many attractions, is close to the mountains and has lots of jobs but it can be expensive. I guess wherever you can find a good job would be a start !

I wouldn't live anywhere in Saskatchwen (sp?) It's just too flat, yes it's cheap but thats because it has nothing speical there. I remember seeing a "community watch" sign on Hwy# 1 while drive from Toronto - Vancouver and there wasn't a house for like 100 km's around the sign.

Vancouver is expensive but the area around it is very nice. Calgary seems like a wicked place too.

I wanna move out there too

Yes I like the fact Saskatchewan isn't overpopulated and polluted!! But you take the good with the bad, to each his own. It is just really hard to find a good job in SK that is all!
