| Just curious if anyone takes there car down the 1/4 mile? If so whats your car, times, etc...
I'm planning on going to Shannonville next Friday to see what my Bird will do. It'd be fun to hear from others who drag.

| Our 97 T/A runs the 1/4 in 11.4 with street tires on pump gas.
We plan on hitting low 10's this time next year once we add the supercharger and zexx.

| me and a buddy with his older mullet hair- wifebeater-camaro and my tbird sc made an attempt at measuruing our 0-60 times. i tried to get close to the stock 6.2sec but only time i got there was when the wheels soemhow spun at about 50mph and the speedo jumped, other than that i couldn't get traction cause my tires were near home made slicks. He was always a lil faster.
That being said, with newer tires, i'm sure it woulda run about 15.4ish or a tad lower
Since then, he's rebuilt the engine from the ground up and has something rediculous like 600hp, but i haven't seen him or the car in a couple years i think now. [ June 05, 2004, 12:41 AM: Message edited by: Hardcore Rock Superstar ]

| ^Gotta run it down the track and make it official or else nobody's gonna believe you!
I did a best of 15.86 at 88mph before I dumped 9 large ones into the engine. With the lack of traction I'm probably gonna get a 105mph trap speed with only a high 14.
I was at the track tonight. Got to meet new people. Saw a friend with a turbo Caravan trying to get into the 13's. Mid 14's still, hahaha poor guy. There's gotta be a leak somewhere. He has an awesome 2 sec 60 foot time, but it's like he stops accelerating after the 1/8th mile mark. [ June 05, 2004, 04:01 AM: Message edited by: Chadxton ] |

you spent 9 hundred dollars on your engine wow
was in saskatoon once friday when street legal drags were on at SIR ........buddy convinced me to run my camaro, did a 13.4 at just a tad above 100mph
that was with 2.56 rear gears, I imagine it would have been better with lower gears, but I had a wheel spin problem as it is (open rear ended peg legged tire smoker on my hands there )
I've been told by a few guys that my truck's setup is good for mid 15's |

| Elevation makes a big difference. I took my SVT Cobra to the track outside Edmonton, and then took the car to Texas and my ET plummited. So you Lower Mainland BC boys have got a leg up on even the Manitobins. |

| Awesome stuff, you guys are pretty quick I'm hoping for mid 15 to low 15's. I've never done it before though so I dont know what the hell to do, I'll mess something up... Should be a fun time, even though I have no one to go with. None of my friends are into cars, go figure!

| My buddy has an 90 AWD TALON TSI before he did his major turbo work he did a 13.9 that was at like 15psi... he now runs about 18psi but his body kit is all fibre glassed so he's afraid to crack it now yet he continues to do engine work to it [ June 06, 2004, 10:12 PM: Message edited by: ChizzerZ24 ] |
