ok, so i've been out of the file sharing loop for a while....the last program i have on my computer is win mx, and for some reason haven't been having much luck downloading mp3's lately.

any suggestions in good sites to download/"share" music? i'm looking for user friendly ones that have a good selection of music....need to get a few songs, but don't want the cd's..you know how it goes.

thanks guys.

I find the one you got is the best. WinMX.
Ares works alright. It's just there's so many out there that there's not really ONE really popular one where EVERYONE is on there so you have a good selection.

You can find ANYTHING on mIRC. Only downside is a lot of that program is tricky to learn. Not super user friendly.

Your WinMX may just need updating. The RIAA has guys loading up false files, they look real, but ya download them and they're dead air, so all the old versions are full of fake files.

Newer updated versions of D/L software has figured out how to filter out junk files.

That said, I tried updating my KazaaLite and now it's busted... crashes my whole PC

So I'm in need of new D/L software too.

The best way is over ICQ & MSN though. Some of the guys you know (*ahem*) have GB's and GB's of music on tap...
