I recently got a raise and i am in the market for a new vehicle. I was thinking about getting a SVT lightning. I would like to stay in the truck or SUV market though. What do guys think and if not a lightning what do you suggest?

the srt10 and the chev ss are both vaporware at this moment , you can actually buy a ightning

as much as I'm not a ford man............the lightning is cool, I'd buy one

if your into dodge's you could pick up a hemi equipt truck and throw a kennebell super charger on it..........

yeah the lightnings are sweet trucks. are they 4x4's though? i heard that they were really poor in the winter so I assumed they were just 2wd. my dad has a 2000 F-150 w/ a 5.4L V8, its like walking on ice when its in 2wd on snowy days, but 4wd it will go anywhere. so if you need this truck for winter i'd reccommend the dodge with the hemi if the lightning isn't a 4x4.

the lightning is a sport truck .........and since 4x4 means more weight (slower) and doesn't handle any where near as good as a 2wd truck the lightning is 2wd .....

but yeah the super wide sport tires would suck in the winter .......I wouldn't winter drive a lightning anyways .......you can always find some cheap beater to do that

theres a guy in town that uses his lightning for winter.. it was cheaper for him to buy brand new rims and winter tires then get winter tires for his 18' rims..

put in some wight and some good tires and it would be bearable.. but not smart.. there pretty bad azz
