| Anyone else out there kinda worried that if it is approved it will create a monopoly that allows them the freedom to jack up monthly fees to offset their costs(Sirius Radio is over 1 BILLION dollar in dept alone) let alone the fact it takes one more choice away from the consumer. I really like how XM has suspended their #1 radio show Opie & Anthony from the airwaves for 30 days. Opinions vary as to why but some people think it was the work of Sirius CEO Mel Karmazins persuasion so that both XM & Sirius can show the FCC they have control of their on air talent. The move may have been taken so that the FCC would not feel that the merger would open the door to a business supported by off-color programming.
Which boggles me because its a pay service that that markets itself to be free of FCC regulations which should make it no holds barred pay service similar to HBO yet it doesn't seem to be.
Anyone else's thoughts on the matter?
