no it was $30 and $50 I kept it the same, big difference in SQ is because of having to bring in 2 judges

Hey Danno

Before I comment and vent I just want everybody to know that I no longer own or have anything to do with Audiowaves as I sold my share to my brother. I simply build custom installs and thats it. I say this because my remarks below are about shows in general and not just Audiowaves.

NOW. I have been around this industry as a competitor and a judge for over 16 years and I cannot believe what you have just said.

If Autossy can put on show and only charge 20 bucks(GOOD FOR THEM). When I ran the Audiowaves shows last year I paid the judges good money as I wanted the best at our shows, and I dont expect the judges to drive from Toronto or further to Oshawa for nothing. Maybe where Autossy is located the trophies are somehow cheaper then around Oshawa.

All said and done we never lost money but we certainly never made money and like Brad said we even gave trophies to people who placed forth or lower if we had extra trophies left over.

I dont complain when I go to shows I am just happy there are some to compete at. I also would never expect to see a person , shop or organization lose money to host a show. Shops that lose money to put on these shows, either find the losses hit the bottom line to hard or determine the amount of time and effort aren't worth it.

If the industry is to move forward and not DIE, these kind of remarks and insults must stop NOW.
All year I sit here and read these threads and see comments on how there are no shows and how each organization is going under, etc, etc, etc.

So now that we have some shows lined up you complain about the entry fee. I cant believe it...nothing surpizes me any more!!!!!! If you find ANY shows enrty fee too much dont go or save up for the next one.

I just wish everybody could get along, support our industry and stop the whining.
If you have any questions and your in Buffalo this weekend at the DDS show come and see me. I'll be judging.

Ohhh, Cry me a river..
Autossy put on some kick ass shows last year, $20 Fee - 4 foot first place trophies, 3 foot second place trophies, 2 foot third place trophies AND Alpine T-shirts.
</font>
OK... I'm starting to get fed up with this sort of junk.

Guys, if you have negative comments about a show KEEP THEM TO YOURSELVES.

I will not tolerate any more bashing of shows, pricing, location, timing. ANYTHING.

Keep it nice or this section will be locked down.

Icebird88 I agree with u 100% with what u said the most I have paid for a show was 60$ in a milton show where every one that did spl didn't get there trophies now for my two cent's on all the bitching yes it does not belong here if u compete and put on shows u get to see both sides of it last year i helped out Peter with his shows even help get nice trohies and not overly expensive since i have a cusin that owns a trophie shop and in do this got to see what trophies truly cost and why. NOW some are comlaining about cost of show well just like every thing in life cost of thing rise every year so if u think about it why shouldn't the cost of show's rise also. As to show's Peter put on last year most of them he lost money bust still did them because he's dedicated to the industry and so we can have a place to play and to some cometetors that also put on shows would have been recpectful if u had attened these shows since we make an effort to attend ur shows maybe his attitude would be diffrent on putting shows on this year of all his summer show we had a better turn out at his show that was in january . so quit the bitching and be glad that shows are still happening and to those that are making the effort to bring back the life in spl I say thank you
