I'll be thier with my car......expert 601 +

I DONT WANT A TROPHIE.......

Just an idea, but The Image Dynamics shows in Cali handed out Certificates for Placement. It does two things.

1: Saves the organized a TON of money making the idea of holding an event more feasable

2; Lowers entery fee's...thus bring more people out.

I Myself will take a certificate

Didn't Autossey go out of business? I had heard that somewhere, how many shows are they holding this year then? I would gladly pay $100 to get an IASCA show within two hours of me.

Jamie.

Excellent points. I just wish everybody felt the same way.

For you and me who have been around a long time we do not need any more trophies. How ever when you talk to some of the newbies/rookies and they are competing for the first time they really like the idea of getting a trophy, to show for there hard work or hard earned money spent.

We basically need to get a majority vote from competitiors of what they want, when they attend shows. Not just around here but everywhere. I am sure show promoters would listen.

What I can do after this weekends show is start a thread on this very topic and get a feel for what competitors want.

In the meantime if anyone has any ideas lets hear them. But be nice and no bashing of shows as people work to hard to put these on.

I will see everybody at the show on Sunday....Bring sunblock its suppose to be hot.

When I was a rookie yes...trophies were awesome.

So maybe do an am, Pro, and Expert level competitors just have certificates.Trophies for rookies only

Infact getting usefull stuff like a Canadian Tire gift card, or a HMV gift card, or a Subway/Quiznos gift card for $20 would be great.

Combine high classes (am class pro classe exp classes ect)

1st- $25 gift card
2nd -$15 gift card
3rd -$10 gift card

Guy the overall thing about a show is it is very expensive, and usually have little, or no return if it even makes you any money. If we want shops such as Audiowaves to keep holding events we need to support them in thier efforts and be more realistic with what to expect.

I challange anyone who has never judged to sit in thier car with no air on, for 15 mins and listen to cars.......then do that all day. You will find the price that judges ask for, isactually not on par with the job being done. And we the competitors ask for the best job to be done every time. But at the end of the day when Audiowaves asks for $50.00 for me to have trained judges, judge my car (unlike a free for all import show), and have some sort of prize (trophie or what ever) at the end of it all I think its a very reasonable.

I completely agree with Jamie, even as a rookie, trophies mean something to clean and keep out of my wife's way in the apartment, I'd rather have a certificate that I can file away chronologicaly with any others I recieve. (though with this being my first SQ show, trophies would be cool hehe)

I second the above.

And I am still waiting on my amplifiers so I wont be able to make the show this time. Hopefully there will be more of them this season. The Audiowaves show are always good>

I wish I could make it... health reasons I am out off commission this weekend... even shut down the store and only took phone calls

good luck to the guys that do make it down

I won't comment on pricing at all, tahnx for putting on the show, sorry I can't make it

but trophies are cool to have when you're a rookie... once you've been doin this for 10 years and you have a 150++ they're a total pain in the a$s to clean and dust
