As Team Shadow listed - some of the true LOUD North American competitors [Edge Audio (pioneer), Mike Bartells, Scottie Johnson, Bob Perrillo]. They compete in practically all organizations... BUT... do they do this because they want to, or because that is the deal they made with there sponsors?
Don't get me wrong, I like IASCA, I like Moe.
Unforunatly IASCA has made many mistakes recently, most of which were avoidable.
I'm not sure about the West but IASCA support in the East has dropped dramatically in the past few years, in 2003 they had lots of support and backing, but since then it has gotten less and less.
IMO it was great how early they announced the rule changes, BUT unforunatly with the delay in announcing finals they have counteracted that.
What IASCA needs to do to get back in the game strong, they need to get the 2006 finals location and date announced ASAP. They ASAP after 2006 finals they need to announce rule changes and 2007 finals. They need to go after the newbies. Lets face it, the current stock filters they have aren't really too good. The whole receipt rule and trying to filter out anyone affiliated with car audio needs to be changed. The Stock classes need to be for true new comers. We don't need DaSilva's, Yuli's, [I hope I don't offend anyone] or anyone else like that in Stock, they need to be in Pro Stock. Stock needs to be kept open for TRUE new comers, old world finalists need to be bumped to Pro Stock.
Many people are trying to get IASCA to share finals with other organizations, to me this seems like a band-aid fix for the moment, they need to filter out there own problems before tackling something at that scale. Make IASCA better as an organization then work on trying to combine with others.
I hope this does not offend anyone, just my opinions. |
