I have been looking around the IASCA site and in the guidebook but I cant seem to find where it tells you the rules regarding how many points you need to be invited to the finals this year. And also whats are the rules like this year regarding how many shows there are within a resonable distance, because I know in the past if there werent enough shows within a certain distance of your location you would automatically get an invite. So if anyone could fill me in on this it would be greatly appreciated. I compete in SQ btw, not sure if that makes any difference.

What class are you in??? I'm in SQ aswell. Ama. Street.

The rules are basically like this. You need 70 points to automatically get an invite. But not everyone will have enough events in their area to get that many points. So if you dont have many events in your area the rules say you must attend a mimimum of 50% of the SPE shows in your area (250 mile radius). The kicker with that part is that you need a minimum of 70% of the available points at the shows in your area. So if you only had 5 SPE events available, you could have as much as 50 points. 70% of that would be 35 points (minimum in your area to make finals).

Make sense?

This comes form section Comp-10 in the rule book.

Rules are rules but man sound discuraging considering as what you have to do to reach finals and as a competetor how many show happen in and around your area is not in your control and with the cost of fuel going threw the roof get expensive when you makeing long drive to shows and worse when you end up loseing at those shows and don't get the points

I compete to have fun, then to win. Making finals is simply a bonus.
