| canadians helping each other? LOL thats the biggest joke. here is why i dont help canadians....
1. 90% of canadian spl competitors dont know 10% of what they are doing, sorry but u cant help those - they need to help themselves first.
2. very few people know what they are talking about, why would a person like that help someone who's nearly clueless?? thats not helping EACH OTHER, thats just making the clueless guy louder while he's still clueless....oh wait thats already happens in canadian spl more than anything.
3. when i go to finals or shows in the US, conversations with US competitors usually prove to be useful and productive. I learn by asking questions about their set ups. In Canada, a conversation with an spl competitor is useless cuz 90% of the people, as clueless as they might be, will try to give u the stupidest advice on your own set up. i hate that. What makes this worse, is when i asked if he/she had tried this in their own set up and they say "No, but so&so said it would gain".
4. some people just do not want to get help, they want u to make them loud, make them a loud box, gain them 10 db's, etc. so sick of this.
5. people wont take your advice b/c it contradicts with another advice someone else gave them or its not what they wanted to hear. poeple try to make spl into exact science, if it was there would have been a book on it. people do not understand that you have to test, test, test, test and test more. instead i see lots of people taking advices from people who did do the testing and then pick and choose from the pool of advices they collected as to what they will do to their own car.........while they should have been testing instead.
i can go on and on but u get the point.
i think before we can talk about helping each other, most people need to help themselves first.
