The amps are lethal at .5 strapped over 2 db gain from 1 ohm strapped but i couldnt keep poy of protection. The rise in my car was double .5 per amp when strapped 1 ohm after rise and the same with .35 and .25 wich was unstable. | how slow did ya have to roll? i tried strapping at .35 and it would protect at about 144db. but my roll was faster than ive seen alot of guys do it. My rise is about 4x so i sit at 1.4 ohm after rise. I also tried strapping at 1.4 ohm but i was no louder than if i ran a single amp, which makes perfect sense.

| Listen bro the lowest i have ever strapped was .5 and we got 154.5 on ac190 and it was quarter of the way up before protection happened. Just ask Tupac at the last show he was going into protect i told him to roll real slow yes you lose battery but the amps didnt go into protection. When you roll fast the amps will go into protection if strapped under 1ohm. Checo also rolls up real slow plus the amps have to be level matched perfect when using more then a pair strapped this is key if the subs are in common inclosure like Chriss van.

| Like i said in the last post i made i have never compared the 2 amps. The 1 thing i do know is that the z1 will heat up and fry before a 500.1 and is crap for daily. Diffrent setups yeld diffrent results maybe the z1 works better at a higher load then a 500.1. Just keep the 500.1 at .7 to 1ohm after rise and it will make good power.

| lol u are jokes. we compared the 2 and thats what we got.
z1 actually likes a lower load. something like 0.15 before the rise is good.
yah z1 does heat up and it does suck balls for daily. but we are not using these amps daily so.....
500.1 is not a true 1 ohm board, its more like 1.2 ohm. at 0.7 after rise that amp will clip like no tomorrow. it needs 1 ohm or higher to work properly.

| Bro thats what worked in my application so I dont know what to say. The thing is everyone does test and everyone comes back with diffrent results im just stating my results with the 500.1s. The thing is never once have i doubted the power of the z1 all i have ever said is on 12v a pair of z1s will yeld 6000-7000 watts.

| i meant nothing bad in my post nick, im just trying to figure out how to get the most out of the amp thats all. Thats why i asked what your impedance was. Now that we've established that the amp is in perfect working order, we gotta figure out exactly what it wants to give the most power. Thats what i wanted to know.
