I might be a fly on the wall to this thread, but why don't the "heavy hitter" pros hold simple clinics to encourage newbees at these events? Help get some new blood and pass on some knowledge....the dealers would probably love the support...

A bunch of us tried to set something like this up but it seemed that everyone was just more interested in mic time. If there was enough interest we would do it forsure (not saying I am a heavy hitter, just willing to put in the time to set it up).

Just remember on any day an "amateur" could show up and beat anyone.. but I think we pretty much know who are all serious competitors here.. so why don't we leave the local shows for the locals and concentrate on the sanctioned events


On a side note, like Jon said, we did try to setup a clinic, but we didn't get much interest, and the interest that we did get was just people who wanted mic time.. so maybe in another month or two we will try again..

I spend as much time teaching the new competitors about product, vehicles and boxes as I do testing the SPL in their vehicles. They all want to learn and I think I have plenty of knowledge to share.
