| SPL is an expensive Hobby
if more ppl showed up on a regular basis it would be worth doin cash prizes and nice trophies to atleast cover the cost of travel.. but if someone isnt the number 1 in the class he/she will never get anything worthwhile except the enjoyment of the sport...
but I guess once you're on top the small shows don't matter anymore

| peter u wann pay for my gas?
dont tell me about small shows, when i first started out i used to drive to kitchenre, niagara falls, cambridge and even buffalo from toronto to attend shows that werent even a sanctioned events. u know it, u saw me at a few.
yah fun is good but u got to be rational. how much money am I willing to spend on gas to attend a show with 8 cars and have fun?
neither u nor any of your guys came to the burlington shows or the iasca missisauga and oshawa shows???? whats up with that? [ August 10, 2004, 07:37 AM: Message edited by: Father Yuli ]

| I have to admit Peter, I was kind of sad not to see you, Ken, Mike and the rest of the gang from Maximum Threshold at the Oshawa show... what happened? Did something come up? You were missed!
Yuli, you were missed too buddy!! The gang told me why though, it's understandable.
Hopefully we'll see you all at the Kingston show! [ August 10, 2004, 08:00 AM: Message edited by: Moe Sab ]

| Im not making excuses for any of my guys..it just happened some of them are on vacation and some just dont seem to care about shows because the women have taken over their lives...I only get one or 2 of them showing up to my shows I hold at the shop in Kitchener... myself personally, besides it being the GF's weekend...my car is off the road untill after the 14th... I wait 2 weeks without driving my Rabbit and my insurance drops from $2058/6 months to $1178/ 6 months...don't ask...yes...bad driving record

| Bump... the show's this coming weekend! Just a friendly reminder!
And remember, any Canadian competitor who calls Steve Smith up by Friday, to let him know you're coming can enter using Canadian money at par!
