Hey Yuli!

Yes, you can change vehicles, as long as you notify IASCA in writing of the change. You can email me with the info, I need the type of vehicle (obviously),year, make and model, plus the serial number of the vehicle and who it's insured through (with policy number). This is for safety reasons only, in case something happens at an event.

There is no specific cut off date for points accrual this year, but a safe bet is two weeks before Finals. Your thoughts about competing with the new vehicle to get qualifying points for Finals will be something that's implemented for next year, but for this year the qualifying points you have accumulated are sufficient.

I hope this helps my friend, if you change your vehicle please notify me ASAP.

Thanks,

Moe

Denny, the points you've accumulated are for the class you've competed in, and that's where you'll be placed for Finals.

Please do me a favour and email me how many points you've accumulated in each class, and let me know what class you want to compete in at Finals; I'm not making any promises, but I'll see what I can do...

Hi Chris, the rules for changing classes and/or Divisions are as follows:

CHANGING DIVISIONS and/or CLASSES

1. A competitor must notify IASCA head office in writing of any request for class or division changes prior to competing in the new class and/or division. Failure to do so may result in the possibility of points being incorrectly assigned or even deemed unacceptable.
2. A competitor can move up in a class or division at any time prior to the end of the current season without forfeiting any points accrued in the lower class or division. The competitor must compete at least once in the new class or division prior to the season’s Finals.
3. A competitor can move down in a class or division at any time prior to the end of the current season, however any points accrued in the higher class or division will be forfeited. The competitor must compete at least once in the lower class or division during the same season prior to the season’s Finals.
4. A “pro” competitor who no longer works for the industry cannot move down to the Stock division within the same season. He/she has to complete the season as a “pro” in the Advanced or Ultimate division and reapply for status in the Stock division the following season.

However, the curveball we may end up facing is that you are not already an IASCA member. The first thing you have to do is get registered ASAP.Email me as soon as you can so we can get that straightened up, then we can work at your points. Once you're a registered member, get to as many IdBL events as you can between now and the Finals and collect qualifying points.

Any other questions you have, email me at moesab@iasca.com, thanks.
