| MDXman, I understand your concerns and you brought up some very valid points. There have been a lot of changes with IASCA in the last two to three years and with this being the first unified Finals, it was a learning curve for both organizations. Each respective org had their responsibilities to deal with in organizing the Finals, it wasn't solely IASCA's responsibility to put the show together and for MECA to just show up and run their Finals, we each shared in the organization of the event.
Both Steve and Paul worked very hard to set it up and tried to foresee every eventuality, but, and I'm not trying to make excuses for anyone, some items on the agenda slipped through the cracks. It was a learning curve for both orgs, and I think both IASCA and MECA did the best they could. I believe that for next years Finals, we will have learned from our mistakes and will work diligently to make certain those mistakes are not repeated.
There are a lot of improvements on the way for 2005 and I truly believe they are for the betterment of both orgs as well as for the competitors. Although I can't go into any detail at this point, I think that all competitors, SQ and SPL, will be pleasantly surprised at what's in store for next season.
I hope to see you all in the lanes in the 2005 season, and until then, all the best in the "rebuilding" season!
