I used one of Chris Cecco's amps just to test it out... using the same amp I am now upto 154.07db

your amp was in Chris Sames Buick Regal...the one I told you about that had 8 12's and couldnt hit over 147db..so I stripped it down overnight and rebuilt it using only 4 12's and got it upto 152.8db @1/2 ohm..but sometimes it kicks into protection dunno why yet at the show it kept goin into protection and only hit 151.7db...still not bad for 1 amp and an overnight job... the sides of the box were somewhat sealed using rags and whatever else we could find </font>[/quote]I would say that is a great score. hey guys i have been toying around wiht ssytems for a few years, never competed, but i was just wondering how big of a stereo do ya need to compete...i'm not worried about winning, but to do okay in competition..... like i have 3 12" rockford puch HX2's with dual 2's and a 1500bd rockford amp, clarion VRX935vd deck beefed up alternator (140 amp) optima battery and 2 x 1 farrad caps. in my chevy half ton reg. cab. ........would my system be worth even bringing to the show?? i've always wondered and now i am asking..
