For the stock 2 class...am I allowed to have 2 batteries and 2 mono block amps? I know for DB drag they consider a mono block to be half a normal amp..ie if 1 amp is allowed, you can have 2 mono block. is this the same for IASCA?

Currently Running: 15" Inhuman off of a Visonik 900xd and looking to add another 900xd

thanks for any help
Ben

ya you can have amps as long as you have one per driver and yes you can have two batts but the one in the back of your car has to be in a batterie box .

It's 1 physical amp per sub.

So you wouldn't be able to add the second Visonik. Sorry

Btw... Moe is away in Mexico this weekend. After that he will be insanely busy with SBN.

I know there are a few people on here that have competed enough to answer your questions though.

If there's anything we can't answer I'll make sure Moe gets your question and we can find an answer for you

Ben,

first of all u got it all wrong. db drag doesnt think of a class D amp as half of an amp, they think of it as one amp. in db drag each amp, regardless of class a/b/c/d is considered one full amp. I dont know where u got it from that if u allowed to use 1 amp then u can run 2 class D's???? that cant be any more wrong.

now, to answer your question, in Iasca in stock class you are allowed to have ONE AMP PER SUB. so if u have 1 sub u can only use 1 amp, doesnt matter if its class D or not.

Why not get a 4000xd.
That way you can do both Street B/ Stock 2, just a thought

if you can find me a 4000xd for a good price ill buy it.

so even tho my sub has 2 voice coils, im only allowed 1 amp?

also, if you check the 05 db drag rules it says in stock 2 you are allowed 2 amps or 4 mono block amps, im not making that up.

thanks for all the quick replies.
Ben

first of all the rules DOT NOT say what u wrote. the rules says u can have 4 EXTERNALY BRIDGIBLE MONO BLOCK AMPS.....it doesnt say one of them counts as a half, i dont know where u got that front.

Second of all u got the classes mixed up

third, the number of voice coils do not matter,

the rules clearly say one amp per sub!

hope this helps.

u can have the 4000 watt visonik for $700 easy around here........the question is, do u really want that amp????

the amp is not very user friendly in street/stock class. it needs alot of juice and an experianced user to work it properly. it is originally designed for 17v operation.

if u planing to put this amp on a 14v system u better have 2 good, solid batteries, all your wiring 1/0 gauge with a few runs between the batteries. Otherwise i would not bother with that amp. Last thing u want is your amp choking and u cant even get a full burp out of it....this is what this amp is known to do on a 14v set up without enough juice to feed it.

diznuts your best bet is to probly get another 900 xd the 4000xd was known to have many problems last year but like prolifik said with the right people to help you out and right batts 1750 or 2100 cca batts you may not have the problems that others had.( the main reason for the 4000xd not working to its potental was the voltage setup it was great for 17 volt setup but many people had a hard time with the 14.4 setup. Like Jordyo said people will be more then happy to help you out with install info or how to try and get louder good luck on your installs just my 2 cents!!
