If you want a truely Canadian finals with the most competitors. I had 127 cars at the western canadian finals but that included SQ. Kanora is only 20 hrs from Toronto and 15 hrs from Calgary. I would suggest adding an SQ format from some organization to get the most people out to defer costs. |
having an average of 20-40 competitors at an event doesn't mean you can justify having a World Finals in a particular area..
it's bigger then just that..once again to reiterate you can't just incorporate another sactioning bodies event into the WF of dB Drag to "defer the cost"
this is the dB Drag World Finals..
not the
"lets get some other competition formats in with us to make it bigger and cheaper for us" World Finals"
Like I said do me a favour and take a look at the stats and see just how many people qualified for the WF in the last couple of years.. take a count like I said and get back to me
And having it in the middle as you said "Winnipeg" is not workable.. it's not simply about the geographical center of Canada and so forth.. it's about getting it in a highly concentrated area of competitors that have the best chance of attending/qualifying for finals.
dont think I'm also saying this because I'm on the east coast as well but it's a fact that thats how it is in this case.
