I would love to see a Canadian WF's location, or two, but the way things sit right now it just isn't going to happen.

The number of people who are on here DAILY telling others that they had better be out to support shows and then puss out on anything that is more than an hr away from their house is ridiculous.

The fact that some of these same people who never even leave their own section of the province are on here saying OTHERS need to get off their butts and go to shows is just funny. (I'm not naming names... but calling out people for not traveling to shows when you've never left the southern ontario area is weak)

The fact that I was the ONLY person from Ontario at the 2x last weekend goes to show that people only want to compete in their own back yard - "forget it, the shows will come to me". Not to mention that there were 5 other people from my team there just to support me for this 1 day show! (some even paid the $15 admission to enter!)

Being relatively loud, winning comps in your own back yard and getting enough points to finals just because there are shows near you doesn't mean you're dedicated in my opinion. It just means you have a hobby that's convenient for you to compete in. (remember you guys busting my balls a while ago about going to the 3x at SVR?)

Until we get more people that are SERIOUS about competing there's no reason for a Canadian finals.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone... but that's just the way I sees it...
lol ok so then we will have the same 10 people at ALL of the shows instead of just the ones in the GTA.

forget people that are far away, attract those who are close. grow the scene in YOUR area.

I heard soooooooooooooooooooooooo much hype about the montreal show, like it was going to be the biggest db drag on the planet. There were massive 16 people. If you have to rely on people who are 4 hours away from you to make your show big you are not promoting it right in my opinion.

Well... there will be a dB drag Finals in Canada in the future whether you like it or not so you might as well just support the shit! If Florida had one, so can Toronto. Wayne needs 100 competitors to make it worth while and if the vets helped the noobs, the numbers would grow up here. If there are no extreme vehicles... who cares... as long as there are 100 competitors. On a bigger picture, a Finals in Toronto would Allow Wayne to shift the indy finals more south. This could allow the 100 competitors consist of Ontario, Quebec, New York, Michigan and so on. Think outside your backyard!

Again I ask... any constructive feedback or suggestions?

i would say look into venue possibilities and sponsorship options first. I think if you want it to happen and everyone jumps on board it can happen, but it needs to be presented as a full on ready to go package, that shows that we are willing to do the work to have it here by having it organized and funded and supported before even presenting it to W.H. you are showing that the dedication is here and that you arent just blowing smoke with out being willing to back it up

Forget people that are far away? That's completely narrow minded.

If you want to have a finals then people need to show they're willing to travel.

Why would Wayne put up a show in an area where there are only ever locals who show up? He's got no reason to put a show if no one will travel. The only way to show that we will is to actually DO it.

I'm not saying you only have to depend on people from far away, but is it too ambitions to try and get BOTH locals and people who are far away?

Lets be honest here locals are NOT going to get a finals, they only care about the few shows that are close to them. We need the "serious" competitors to make these drives and show their dedication.

About the Montreal show... it's pretty crappy of you to knock the turnout when you wouldn't bother making that drive nor would anyone else from the GTA. ESPECIALLY to support a guy like Yaniv who has driven down to so many shows in the GTA region that I'm thinking he must own his own gas station.

He's been to your shows, Richards shows, Jay's/Nicks shows, Ceccos, Deezys.. etc.. and done it many times... but not ONE of you can free up a bit of coin and a weekend to repay his support?

Yaniv never made my show but thats beside the point. some of us, me imparticular, can't afford to make 8 hour drives to show's and depend on the GTA scene being strong. Yaniv is the man and my hat's off to him but you can't expect everyone to show when gas and food prices are at am all time high and wages aren't going up along with them. i goto 1 far away show a year. last year it was michigan with Yaniv who know where or even if i can do one this year other than finals.

I would love to see finals here..but there are many good points mentioned that may make it not happen... as for bad turnouts at shows... lets get realistic... how many shows can one person go to? ... Im not knocking Richard at all hes given alot to put up all these shows for CSPL and DB Drag..but I believe its become oversaturated and sometimes ppl need a break... 6-8 shows per month does get expensive... I only do one per month... and well if there werent so many local shows I would make the drive to a far show... when I lived in Kitchener I made the drive with Dave DaSilva to but-#@ck-nowhere ( somewhere north west of Ottawa)for 7 -8 hours in my rabbit just to go to an IDBL show just beacause it was a show we could set records at... if the shows are scarse ppl cry because they have to drive to the US to get point... if there are too many they still cry... where do u draw the line?

Constructive input: Help support it dont just say all negative reasons why it wont happen(im guilty too)

limit the amount of shows in the area and spread them out through out Ontario( Richard has a good idea so far) but needs to expand but I believe his sales region is his boundry.

the shops and distributors need to hop on the boat and help support( I understand its difficult when ppl buy SPL equipment online or direct from manufacturers at ridiculous discounts " competitor pricing")

bla bla bla
realistically... how many competitors are out there in Ontario alone?( ones interested in going to finals) 10? maybe 15? hardcore competitors
alot of ppl buy products from the big box stores(BBS)... the BBS should also be giving back to the industry to help support the scene
