so after reading the previous thread about port sizes another question arose, what is going to give more spl a large box or a small box? if i had 2 10's in a small ported box at 2 cube or 2 10's in a large ported box at 3.5 cube. is the magic in the port or the size of box? so should the box be small or large? especially if you're using a large 6 or 8 inch port.

It Goes Like This Huge Box Is Louder But Limits Power And Small Not As Loud But Can Handle 4-8 X's The Power So It Will Be Much Louder If You Have Power To Do It

So If You Have Low Power And Lots Of Room Big Big Box And Tune From There !

it also has to do with the particular sub your working with and what size box it works best in. for example my mt would not work in the box i used for a tf1. the box was just too small.

also it has to do with airflow in the car, the sound needs to pass by the box most times, if the space for the sound to pass is small then the sound will be impeded and the score will go down usually. therefore a bigger box will block more airflow and that may hurt your score
