Aight i know its not perfect, but i've NEVER EVER worked with fiberglass before. Tell me what you think.

The Top part (green part) is only 1 layer of glass. I will be doing an aditional layer of resin and then a layer of body filler. Then i will do one final layer of resin over the entire box, sand and then primer. ITs going to a professional painter to be painted the same color as my buddies car. Sorry the pictures are so huge lol.

---UPDATE---
Here it is, my dremil cutting bit broke so i only got one hole cut out. I still need to do some spot filling, then primer and the painter is prolly gonna spot fill a bit and sand, prime and then paint.

I am gonna do a little more fiberglass on the inside to make it more rigid.

That pic is so large I can't even get the concept down. Shrink it and repost.

Ooo, I like it alot. Whats going in it??? IMO the square part up top between the two smaller holes looks a little off center but maby you intended to do that???? Other than that it looks insane. Keep us updated.

Looking good for your first glass job Would reccomend doing something smaller to start off with , my first box was for 2 10's. Seemed as if it took forever to complete. Would highly reccomend doing something smaller to test your skills on. Fabricating your base, braces and rings, wrapping & resin. And of course, the dreadful Filling and finishing work. A few months back I posted a thread regarding finishing work on boxes for a 'glasslike finish'. I found that doing small projects, say for a single 10' woofer, work great for practice, and are fairly easy to get rid of when your finished. Keep us updated on your work

The box is for a friend. It is going in the backseat of a 95 honda prelude. The box is going to have a DVD Player (no screen) 2 5 1/2'' Kenwood mid's and 2 12'' Pioneer subs. Its not for my car :P And yeah i realize the deck mount is a little off center. Its centered with the subs tho, and because the bottom piece of wood is different size than the top one..its a little off.

But thats for all the great feed back, i jsut did the filler on the top part, gonna sand 2 morrow and do one more layer of filler to tie both pieces together smooth, then one last coat of resin.

Can i mix paint into my resin?

I love working with fiberglass. It is a little frusterating i've noticed :P But i have some sort of strange fetish for curves... so i love putting on the body filler and making nice little curves and then being able to sand it down to perfection. I've NEVER built a sub box n my life before to be honest. I dont even have my own vehicle.
