i've got a mach5 maw 15. it's in 3 cubes at @ what i thought was 34hz
it seems to roll off pretty sharp at about 40hz and the lower notes don't have nearly the umph that the higher bass notes have. it sounds ok for most of the stuff i listen to, but theres some music, that just doesn't sound right.

i am starting to think my friend, who did the vent calculations, messed up and that the box is tuned more like 40-45hz.
i would love to have a box built to 3-3.5cu/ft tuned to around 30-33 hz with lots of port area (which i think might also have something to do with it)

anyone interested in helping me by designing something for me?

If you want more low-end, it'd probably be a good idea to make the box a little bigger as well

I think 3.5-4 would be adequate

WinISD is a decent program - I found it didn't deviate much from TermPro on most applications.

Some woofers don't model well though and that is where some skill in box design comes in. You have to know what to look for - sometimes just punching in the numbers yields less than stellar results.

if you ever find a woofer that doesn't graph right
with Termpro check the subs small parameter sheet...
chances are there is a metric speck that needs
conversion before putting them in Termpro
I got every enclosure program that there is and
I like this program because you can play with the box
volume and adjust it for the max profile score
and the lowest ripple effect..
the wide range port velosity gage is awsome too
the only thing about Termpro is it needs HUGE amounts
of ram when you start playing with the CAD

^ Try modelling a vented box for a Rockford SPP-124. Either their spec writers were on dope or that is one unique woofer. They used to work awesome though if you used a more reasonable box.
