Heya all, got my new subs and second amp, now looking to make a box for the whole setup. My only issue is that there is a certain look i want from it and im not sure if it will mess up the port tuning.
Its a box for 2 12" RE SX subs, and want to build one more "manufactures recomended spec" box, to make sure i know what im doing before i start messing with paramaters in experimentation.
box specs:
Dual 12"
2Cu Ft airspace per sub after displacement
woofer displacement : .16 cuft each
tuned to 33hz
max width = 40in
max height = 16in
max depth = what ever
Usually i see dual 12 boxes done like this:
Free Ported Subwoofer Plans brought to you by SubwooferTools.com [insert slogan here]
however, i would like to have the port in between both of the woofers, and i want to go subs firing up, port back. The issue im anticipating is i would need to have the box designed such that it would be 2 seperate boxes, joined at the port, and what im thinking is i would need to tune the port in 2 different sections, one before the ports meet, and 1 for after they meet.
am i making sence? or am i totally in left field? any input would be appreciated
